New Generation Fine Arts Foundation (NewGen) is committed to promoting positive social change through transformative learning and community engagement. Our fine arts programs consisting of dance, theatre, art, and music provide the Foundation with a unique opportunity to create and develop young minds to embrace the notion of service  within the community as the cornerstone of the Foundation's success.

Bridging the gap, be it cultural, age, gender, economic, academic, ethnicity, is the key to our long term initiative.  Our boots on the ground approach, meeting the individual right where they are, serves to not only broaden the individual's horizons but enhance the community overall. 

Paying it Forward

There is strength and power in unity; community support is essential to sustain our mission. Through collaborative and partnering relationships within the community, the Foundation will utilize its resources to make a difference in the lives of those in need. 

One of our aspirations is to become a key stakeholder in the communities the Foundation serves. This requires being actively involved and supporting other agencies and groups within the Detroit metropolitan area. 

Our collaboration with Wayne State University and the Detroit Public School System, provides opportunities to better serve young artists.
